Crowborough Tennis & Squash Club was founded as a small, friendly club back in 1921, and is still thriving today with big plans for the future. The club became a limited company in 1987 and received charitable status in 2003. We welcome players of all ages and abilities and we really do have something for everyone.

The club has thriving Squash, Tennis and Bridge sections, playing both socially and competitively. We have 9 all weather hard courts (Macadam), 3 of which are floodlit and four Squash Courts, one of which is a championship glassback and our fully stocked bar and comfortable lounge are just what the doctor ordered after an exhausting game.

We have an on site Nursery School, Dance School, Registered Osteopath and Beauty Therapist as well as Pilates and Tai Chi classes that are held weekly throughout the year at the club.

We also have a full social calender with events ranging from our annual dinner dance to B-B-Q's, Wine tasting evenings, curry nights, quiz Nights and golf society days.

So if you have never played before and would like to have a go or maybe you used to play and you are a bit rusty, why not give us a call on 01892 652618. Our dedicated team of staff and coaches are here to help in any way we can.

Relocation update

Following the rejection of our planning application in September 2007, it was decided that we would submit a fresh application to deal with the objections that had led to the refusal to grant planning permission

This new application was duly submitted before Christmas, but was not officially registered until early January. It can be found on the WDC website under application WD2007/3677/MAJ.

There will be a special meeting of the DCN planning sub committee which will consider this and two other major applications at 10:00 on 26th February at Pinegrove. The driectors urge all members to attend if they possibly can.

It has also been suggested that a petition be organised to demonstrate the broad spectrum of support for this development and that members be asked to help by seeking the support of their friends and neighbours.

To that end you will find enclosed a form [link to download form needed] on which we would ask you to collect as many signatures as possible and return them to the office by 20th February. If all members obtained 20 signatures that would represent a substantial proportion of the electorate. There will also be a large notice in the clubhouse with a petition for pople to sign directly.

It has taken a huge commitment to get this far at very little cost to the club. Please do what you can to give us your support at this critical juncture.
